The most important part of your brand on social media is you.

If you want social media to work for you -- help you reach new audiences, earn trust, build relationships, stay top of mind among your clients, and and grow your business -- then you need to show up regularly. The Social Broker content will help you add value to your audience, and social media is a balance between consistency and variety, business and personality.

The content that you post from The Social Broker will only go so far until you are also willing to incorporate bits and pieces of your brand personality into your feeds.

Does that mean you need to hire special photographers to follow you around taking glamour shots? Um, no.

Does it mean you need to take cheesy photos of yourself holding a set of keys and moving boxes? Not in this membership!

Here are some photo suggestions that you might snap on your phone and incorporate into this month's calendar. Pick 4-5 to do throughout the month.

  • Share a picture of you in/outside of the first home you ever bought and tell your audience what you loved about it.
  • October 4 is National Taco Day. Snap a photo from your favorite Mexican restaurant or of the best take-out tacos in your town! 
  • October 5 is World Teachers Day. Snap a photo with your favorite teacher (or take a screen shot of your child's teacher on Zoom!). Share why you are appreciative of that teacher!
  • Share a photo of you in your favorite part of your home and tell your audience why you love it. 
  • Post a photo of a recent home organization project that you are especially proud of and tell us how you did it.
  • Share a photo of you and your friends/family at a local pumpkin patch (can be a 2019 photo!).
  • Share a photo of your kids/family during your last move and talk about what you learned from it.
  • Post a photo of fall/Halloween decor -- either at your home or a heavily decorated home in your neighborhood (with permission).
  • October 17 is National Pasta Day. Who makes the best pasta in town? Share a photo from their feed and be sure to tag/credit them!
  • Share your favorite fall treat. If you like to cook/bake, post a food photo and share the recipe! 
  • Post a photo of you at the office, you outside of a showing holding coffee, you on your laptop at a coffee shop. Talk about what makes working with you different and unique!
  • Do you have an iconic photo of your pet in a moving box? Snap a shot and use it in out "Moving with Pets" post. 
  • October 26 is National Pumpkin Day. Post your carved pumpkins or your family carving pumpkins.
  • Post a photo of the coziest spot in your home. Tell readers what you like to do when nesting at home as the weather gets colder.
  • October 28 is National First Responders Day. Do you know a doctor, nurse, EMT, military person or firefighter you'd like to thank? Share a photo with that person and talk about why you are grateful for them.

EXTRA CREDIT: Jump on Instagram Stories and give a two-minute market behind-the-scenes tour of one of your listings. Take your audience step by step throughout the home and show them every staging tip/home improvement tip that your seller implemented upon your recommendation.

For example:
  • Start at the front door and show them how clean the front porch is. Point out the pretty fall decor!
  • Open the coat closet and point out how organized it is. 
  • In the living/dining rooms, point out the neutral decor or lack of personal/family photos.
  • Highlight the new kitchen hardware or painted cabinets you encouraged your seller to update.
  • Walk through the bedrooms and talk about what kind of decluttering was done.
  • Show off the outdoor space and talk about recent improvements made, like a new roof or HVAC system.
